Having had to lookup and manipulate text strings for the past 3 years, I can hardly say there were any surprises in that section of the book, although it did provide a good summary.

But it's a good basic book to get started with. If a part of the formula is in parentheses, that part will be calculated first. It then performs multiplication or division calculations.
